Lukashenko approves new appointments

MINSK (BelTA) – Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko approved the appointment of new heads of local executive bodies, BelTA has learned.

The current chairman of the agriculture and food committee of the Gomel Oblast Executive Committee Igor Chesnokov has been appointed First Deputy Chairman of the Gomel Oblast Executive Committee. Deputy Chairman of the Lida District Executive Committee Viktor Praniuk will become deputy chairman of the Grodno Oblast Executive Committee.

Igor Markovich, the chairman of the Verkhnedvinsk District Executive Committee, will head the Polotsk District Executive Committee. His place in Verkhnedvinsk will be taken over by his first deputy, head of the department of agriculture and food Vasily Shilov.

Oleg Lyndin, who headed the Dubrovno District Executive Committee in 2016-2019, will become the chairman of the Tolochin District Executive Committee. Sergei Dyliuk has been appointed chairman of the Narovlya District Executive Committee. Currently he is serving as the deputy chairman of the Mozyr District Executive Committee.

First Deputy Chairman of the Mosty District Executive Committee, head of the agriculture and food department Gennady Shatuyev will take up the position of chairman in Korelichi, and Deputy Chairman of the Slonim District Executive Committee Vladislav Gershgorin will lead the Oshmiany District Executive Committee.

Aleksandr Gorbachevsky, the current deputy chairman and head of the agriculture and food department of the Klimovichi District Executive Committee, has received a new appointment as chairman of the Kostyukovichi District Executive Committee. The first deputy chairman, the head of the agriculture and food department of the Dribin District Executive Committee Sergei Zatsky has been promoted to head the Krichev District Executive Committee.

Local authorities have also been reshuffled in Gomel and Mogilev. First deputy chairman of the Gomel City Executive Committee Aleksandr Sivakov has been appointed to head the Zheleznodorozhny District of the city. Former MP Piotr Solovyov will take up the post of the head of the administration of the Oktyabrsky District of Mogilev: in the parliament of the sixth convocation of the House of Representatives he was deputy chairman of the Standing Committee on Industry, Fuel and Energy Complex, Transport and Communication.
