New regulation concerning the passage of heavy and large vehicles on public roads approved
The Edict of the President of the Republic of Belarus of 19 June 2019 No. 239 has established the payment for passage of heavy and large vehicles on public roads, the National Legal Internet Portal of the Republic of Belarus informs.
According to the Edict, owners (drivers) of wheeled tractors used in agriculture are exempted from payment for the passage on public roads, as well as of vehicles used for transportation of goods for ensuring defense, law and order or liquidation of emergency situations; implementation by organizations of the state road economy of the maintenance of roads at the expense of budget funds; transportation of goods of humanitarian aid to the population of the Republic of Belarus and other states.
The Edict was officially published in Russian on the National Legal Internet Portal of the Republic of Belarus on 22 June 2019, and its main provisions enter into force from 1 January 2020.
