Belarus, Russia urged to strive for new level of cooperation in industry, science, technology

MINSK (BelTA) - Belarus and Russia must strive for a new level of cooperation in industry, science and technology, Belarusian Prime Minister Roman Golovchenko said as he met with Russian Deputy Prime Minister Yury Borisov in Minsk on 3 February, BelTA has learned.

“In the face of fierce competition and the political and economic restrictive measures imposed by different countries, we must rely on cooperation and industrial ties to further our relations. Given the latest developments we must, in my opinion, strive for a new level of cooperation in industry, science and technology,” Roman Golovchenko noted.

Strengthening and developing cooperation with Russia is a priority for Belarus, he said

According to Roman Golovchenko, today the economies of Belarus and Russia are beginning to recover from the shocks associated with the coronavirus infection.

"I am glad that the process is going in sync. We see the economic recovery in both countries, and this is very important, because Russia has been and, I am sure, will remain our key partner in the military-technical sector, industry, science and technology,” Roman Golovchenko said.
