EAEU to sign agreement on unified system of customs transit with third parties

MOSCOW ( BelTA) – The Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) approved a draft agreement on a unified system of customs transit of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) and a third party. In accordance with the order of the EEC Board, the draft document was sent to the EAEU countries for the internal approval, BelTA learned from the EEC press service.

The draft agreement determines the basic principles of the unified system of customs transit of the Union and a third country: the application of a single transit declaration for transport of goods through the customs territory of the EAEU and the customs territory of the third party, the use of common security, mutual recognition of authorized economic operators and providing them with certain special simplifications, as well as the use of a single navigation seal for the entire transport.

The EAEU countries should inform the EEC about the results of the interstate coordination by 1 June 2023.3
