Great Stone plans to attract at least 20 residents in 2023

MINSK ( BelTA) – The Chinese-Belarusian industrial park Great Stone plans to attract at least 20 new residents this year, head of the park's administration Aleksandr Yaroshenko said in an interview to STV channel, BelTA has learned.

“Last year we welcomed 19 residents. We hope to keep the level of attracting investors, as we did in 2022. This year we aim to attract at least 20 residents to the Great Stone Park,” said Aleksandr Yaroshenko.

The head of the park administration noted that now there are already 102 residents in the Great Stone. “Just the other day we welcomed two investors from the Republic of Belarus into our friendly family. They are working on very interesting projects in veterinary products. The second project is related to our permanent partners from the Russian Federation in nuclear energy. We believe that such projects give us a head start on the future development of our economy,” he said.

Aleksandr Yaroshenko also spoke about the prospects of Great Stone. In the future, an international satellite city will grow here. “It will be high-tech, modern, and definitely with the prefix ‘eco'. As the Chinese wisdom says, the journey of a thousand miles begins with one step,” he added.

There are plans to increase exports. According to him, “within the five-year horizon” we expect it to be more than $350 million. “We plan to have at least 5,000 our specialists working here. More than 85 % of them are Belarusians, who earn over Br3,000 today. It is an average salary,” he said, adding that those high-productive jobs create a good economic foundation for the company. Besides, these are new competences and specialties.
