Kochanova: Almost 90 % of bills in furtherance of updated Constitution adopted in Belarus

MINSK ( BelTA) – Almost 90 % of bills in furtherance of the updated Constitution has already been adopted, Chairwoman of the Council of the Republic Natalya Kochanova told reporters, BelTA has learned.

"At the meeting with the president of our country, I reported on the work carried out by the Council of the Republic in furtherance of the updated Constitution. Almost 90 % of bills have been drafted and already adopted, for example, on the Belarusian People's Congress," Natalya Kochanova noted. "Today we are almost on the home stretch and will soon complete the legislative work in furtherance of the innovations that have been introduced into the basic law of our country."

This work will be completed in full at the next session, the speaker added.
