Belarus expected nothing good from Polish EU Presidency, Lukashenko says

MINSK, 23 December (BelTA) – Belarus did not expect any good from the Polish Presidency in the European Union, President of the Republic of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko told a press conference for Belarusian and foreign mass media on 23 December, BelTA has learnt.

When asked about current relations between Belarus and the EU and Poland’s role in them, the Belarusian leader said, “Our relations with the European Union are getting worse and Poland has done a lot to ruin them. We did not expect any good from the Polish Presidency in the EU and our apprehensions were fulfilled.”

Alexander Lukashenko said that he would not dwell on the issue because reporters and the public are very well familiar with it.
