Belarus expands international cooperation in legal sector

MINSK, 22 November (BelTA) – Belarus is expanding international cooperation in the legal sector. The Council of Ministers approved the relevant resolution on concluding a number of agreements in the area, BelTA learnt from the press service of the Justice Ministry.

Thus, Resolution No 1530 approved an agreement on cooperation between the justice ministries in the CIS. After taking effect the document will make a legal instrument for multilateral legal cooperation in the region.

Besides, the government okayed Resolution No 1529 “On the agreement between the Government of the Republic of Belarus and the Government of the State of Qatar on cooperation in the legal sector”. The two countries will be able to share experience and knowledge, exchange and train legal personnel.

The Council of Ministers’ Resolution No 1528 gave consent on signing an agreement on cooperation between the justice ministries of Belarus and Tajikistan.

Ministerial cooperation opens up an opportunity for the Justice Ministry of Belarus to improve the state policy in justice, secure the rights and legal interests of people, train and enhance qualifications of the personnel for the justice bodies and institutions, the ministry stressed.
