Lukashenko calls labor and talent Belarus’ major resources

MINSK, 31 October (BelTA) – The major resources of Belarus are hard-working and talented people, Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko said as he presented state awards and prizes to distinguished Belarusians on 31 October, BelTA has learnt.

The head of state handed over diplomas and badges of honor to a group of metallurgists from Mogilev who developed an advanced casting technology and set up a production of innovative products that are in demand in Belarus and abroad. A state prize was conferred upon designers of super heavy dump trucks. The President pointed to exceptional achievements of the modern Belarusian medicine. Besides, Alexander Lukashenko awarded architects and artists for their contribution to the development of Belarusian art. Orders, medals and honorary titles were given to many cultural figures, famous journalists and sportsmen, as well as the military and law enforcement personnel.

Addressing the awardees, Alexander Lukashenko emphasized that they once again proved the verity of a quote by an ancient philosopher who said that many things were deemed impossible until they were done.

He wished inspiration and sense of purpose to all the awardees through their entire life.
