Distinguished people of Latvia, Azerbaijan, Russia awarded in Belarus
MINSK, 19 April (BelTA) – Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko has bestowed the Order of Honor upon Chairman of the Society for Promotion of Latvian-Belarusian Economic Relations Alfred Cepanis, BelTA learnt from the presidential press service.
Alfred Cepanis has been awarded in recognition of his vital contribution to the development of political, trade, economic, sci-tech and cultural cooperation between Belarus and Latvia.
The Belarusian leader awarded the Medal of Francysk Skorina to Chairman of the Board of the Book Society (the Republic of Azerbaijan) Salahov Zarif Teymur for his multiyear activity of popularizing Belarusian works of literature abroad and considerable contribution to strengthening humanitarian links between Belarus and Azerbaijan.
The Medal of Francysk Skorina has been also bestowed upon Chairman of the Surgut City Duma Sergei Bondarenko for his personal contribution to strengthening economic and cultural ties between Belarus and Russia.
