The President stressed that agriculture is a promising export-oriented economy branch for Belarus. It is important to raise agricultural export up to $5-7 billion within the five-year term. The growth rate is fast but it will not be easy to secure high performance, said the head of state.

“I hope a lot that the specific projects we agreed on in the field, at the farm, at specific facilities will be implemented even faster than we planned back then,” said Alexander Lukashenko.

The President pointed out that a powerful candidate should be nominated for the post of the agriculture and food minister, someone as worthy as the previous minister.
