Belarus’ ambassadors might resume their work in EU

MINSK, 5 April (BelTA) – The Foreign Ministry of Belarus is considering the return of Belarusian ambassadors to the EU member states where they are accredited, Spokesman for the Foreign Ministry of Belarus Andrei Savinykh told a briefing on 5 April, BelTA has learnt.

“This matter is under discussion now,” the official representative of the Belarusian Foreign Ministry underlined.

Talking about the return of the EU ambassadors to Minsk, Andrei Savinykh emphasized, “I would like to remind that the official position of the Foreign Ministry has already been voiced. I cannot add anything else. Maybe, the Foreign Ministry will make a statement on the matter.”

Andrei Savinykh noted, “International relations are not traffic rules. They are based on international law and diplomatic traditions, but each particular situation needs a specific solution”.
