Lukashenko congratulates Ukraine on Independence Day
MINSK, 24 August (BelTA) – Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko congratulated President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych on Independence Day, BelTA learnt from the presidential press service.
Alexander Lukashenko stressed that the Belarusian-Ukrainian relations have become strategic over the years of sovereignty of the two countries. Yet the potential of bilateral cooperation is still untapped.
“I am convinced that further expansion of all-round productive friendly relations meet the interests of the two states and nations,” the President of Belarus said.
