Grodno to host investment forum 5 October
GRODNO, 7 August (BelTA) – The 4th Grodno International Investment Forum will take place on 5 October, BelTA learnt from the economy department of the Grodno City Hall.
As tradition demands, the event will be held alongside with the multi-industry trade show Euroregion Neman 2012. The forum will comprise the presentation of investment projects of the city, the Grodnoinvest free economic zone and the Augustow Canal, tenders for selling municipal facilities. The participants of the forum will have a good chance to establish new contacts with potential partners and investors.
The forum is held to boost cooperation between businessmen of Grodno and other countries, build up the city’s export and investment potential, promote investment projects, sign contracts and set up joint ventures.
The three previous forums ended up with the signing of six agreements in trade, economic and transboundary cooperation, business development, raising investment in the economy of the oblast center. There were registered three companies with foreign capital in the FEZ Grodnoinvest – Metalliset Grodno, Makron Grodno, and TekhnoKhimReagentBel.
The investment forum is attended by representatives of the diplomatic corps, delegations of twin-towns and businessmen from more than 20 countries: Belarus, Russia, Ukraine, Poland, Lithuania, Latvia, Hungary, Slovakia, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, the Czech Republic, Germany, others.
