Belarus attending session of UNECE Committee on Economic Cooperation and Integration in Geneva

MINSK, 6 December (BelTA) - Belarus is attending the 7th session of the UNECE Committee on Economic Cooperation and Integration (CECI), which is running in Geneva on 5-7 December, spokesman for the Belarusian Foreign Ministry Andrei Savinykh told a press briefing.

During the session, the CECI will review UNECE initiatives in public-private partnership. The session participants will discuss new mechanisms to improve the quality of consulting in the area of public-private partnership.

The secretariat will present before the Committee the updates to the plan of action for 2013, which are expected to be approved by the Committee.

The Committee will also hear reports of its working bodies, in particular the team of specialists on innovations and competitiveness policies and the team of specialists on intellectual property.

In addition, the Committee will hear the findings and recommendations on the innovation activity review of Ukraine. Earlier, a similar study was conducted in Belarus.
