Anniversary envelopes presented at Belarus’ embassy in China

MINSK, 23 January (BelTA) – The Belarusian embassy in China hosted an envelope presentation ceremony to mark the 20th anniversary of the Belarusian-Chinese diplomatic relations, BelTA learnt from the Belarusian diplomatic mission in China.

Attending the event were representatives of the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the China National Philatelic Corporation, All-China Federation of Philatelists and mass media of China.

Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to China Viktor Burya expressed sincere gratitude to the people engaged in designing and producing envelopes and stamps. In his words, the stamps issued to mark the 20th anniversary testify to the friendly relations between the Belarusian and Chinese nations.

The Communications and Information Technologies Ministry issued a special set of stamps to mark the anniversary of the diplomatic relations between the Republic of Belarus and the People’s Republic of China. The Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs jointly with the All-China Philatelic Corporation issued an anniversary envelope.

The envelopes feature the National Libraries of China and Belarus which symbolizes knowledge-based development of the society and economy. The stamps feature the state emblems of the two states and animals that are symbols of the two countries – the auroch and the panda.
