Lukashenko invites China to construct Minsk City
MINSK, 19 January (BelTA) – Belarus does not mind if China constructs Minsk City. The Belarus President made this statement in an interview to the leading mass media of China ahead of the celebration of the 20th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Belarus and China, BelTA has learnt.
“We started the construction of Minsk City, announced the construction. We would really like to have something like you have in Beijing (Minsk City will not be as big, of course), we would like Chinese people to come here and help us with the project,” the head of state said.
He continued, “Let China construct and finance the facility and then sell the premises; we do not mind if you construct the facility together with other companies, state-run companies, private companies and so on.”
