Gas transit via Belarus at 64.3bn cubic meters in 2011

MINSK, 18 January (BelTA) – In 2011, the volume of gas transported through the major pipelines in Belarus totaled 64.3 billion cubic meters, which makes 99.3% as compared with the same period a year ago, BelTA learnt from the National Statistics Committee.

Transportation of oil and oil products by rail increased by 29.6% to more than 23 million tonnes.

Gas is transported in Belarus via Beltransgaz networks and Yamal-Europe gas pipeline. Oil is pumped by Gomeltransneft Druzhba and the Polotsktransneft Druzhba.
