Government sets forecast parameters for production costs reduction in 2012

MINSK, 4 January (BelTA) – The Government of the Republic of Belarus has fixed forecast parameters for ministries, concerns, oblast executive committees and the Minsk City Hall to reduce costs for the manufacture of products (works and services) in actual prices in 2012. The decision is contained in Council of Ministers’ Resolution No 1779 of 30 December 2011, BelTA learnt from the press service of the Belarusian government.

This new estimated figure defines the quality of the country’s economic development. The reduction of costs of production envisages resource saving. Thus, the ministries of industry, communications, transportation, construction and architecture, Belneftekhim, Belcoopsoyuz are projected to reduce production expenses by 0.1%, the Agriculture and Food Ministry, the Trade Ministry, Belgospishcheprom, Bellegprom, Bellesbumprom by 0.5%, the Healthcare Ministry by 1%.

Besides, the document provides for energy-saving parameters for ministries, concerns and a number of committees.

On the whole, this year Belarus is expected to reduce GDP energy intensity by 3-4%.
