Belarus opens embassy in Indonesia
MINSK, 12 June (BelTA) – A Belarusian embassy has been officially opened in Indonesia. Attending the ceremony was Belarus Foreign Minister Sergei Martynov who is in Jakarta on an official visit on 11-13 June, BelTA learnt from the press service of the Foreign Ministry of Belarus.
On 11 June the Belarusian official met with his Indonesian counterpart Marty Natalegawa to discuss bilateral cooperation and opportunities to expand all-round interaction between the two states. The parties signed a memorandum of understanding between the Foreign Ministry of Belarus and the Foreign Ministry of Indonesia on bilateral consultations.
The ministers exchanged notes on ratification of the intergovernmental agreement on visa-free trips for holders of diplomatic and service passports signed in 2011. The agreement will take effect on 9 July 2012.
