Belarus insists on innocence of Belarusians in Libya

MINSK, 4 June (BelTA) – The Foreign Ministry of Belarus has announced that it will do its utmost to get the court ruling against the Belarusians in Libya revised, Spokesman for the Foreign Ministry of Belarus Andrei Savinykh told BelTA.

“We are very much concerned about the court verdict and keep insisting on the innocence of our citizens,” Andrei Savinykh said. He noted that all political and legal instruments will be employed to get the court verdict revised.

“Foreign Minister of Belarus Sergei Martynov has approached his Libyan counterpart for assistance,” the Spokesman said.

In his words, the Belarusian consular service will keep closely monitoring the situation.
