Foreign participation in Minsk Stroyexpo on the rise

MINSK, 16 March (BelTA) – About one third of the exhibition area will be occupied by foreign participants at the 15th international specialized expo Stroyexpo 2012, BelTA learnt from the organizing committee of the event.

This year more foreign exhibitors will take part in the event. “While usually they occupy 15-20% of the Stroyexpo exhibition area, this year they will occupy about one third of the total exhibition area,” expo organizers said. Taking part in the expo will be companies from Russia, Germany, Lithuania, Poland, Czechia, Turkey, Kazakhstan, and Ukraine.

“Manufacturers from far abroad have understood that when they participate in the Minsk exhibition, they present their products to all the countries of the Single Economic Space and can simultaneously establish business contacts with Belarusian, Russian and Kazakh companies,” the source said.

More than 200 companies from different countries have already confirmed their participation in the exhibition. Representing Belarus will be Alfakeramika, Rukki Rus, Taifun, Uniskan, Planeta DVT and many other companies.

The 15th international specialized expo Stroyexpo will stay open in Minsk on 27-30 March. The forum will exhibit construction and finishing materials, production technologies, road and construction vehicles, tools and equipment, individual protective gear and work clothes, home decorations, lighting equipment, conditioners, heat, air and energy supply systems, sanitary ware equipment and home appliances.

The participants will get acquainted with the latest trends and technologies of land development, city planning, architecture, designing, energy and resource efficiency, operation, repair and redesign.

The exhibition is organized by the National Exhibition Center BelExpo with support of the Architecture and Construction Ministry, the Industry Ministry, the Ministry of Housing and Communal Services, and Minsk City Hall.

In 2011 Stroyexpo’s total area made up 8,070 square meters. Taking part in the expo were 370 organizations from 15 countries from all over the world, with 20,000 professionals attending.
