Union State SSC may hold next meeting in second half of 2012

MINSK, 15 March (BelTA) – The Supreme State Council (SSC) of the Union State may hold the next meeting in the second half of 2012, State Secretary of the Union State of Belarus and Russia Grigory Rapota told reporters.

“The date has not been set yet. But the President of Belarus as the Chairman of the Supreme State Council tasked me to make sure meetings of the Council of Ministers and the Supreme State Council are convened on a regular basis. The task will be solved,” Grigory Rapota said.

According to the State Secretary of the Union State, a meeting of the Council of Ministers may also be held in the near future. “We will try to hold a meeting of the Council of Ministers as soon as possible so that we could hold a meeting of the Supreme State Council in the second half of the year. But the date will be set by the heads of state,” Grigory Rapota added.
