Maximum return on investment in dairy farm upgrade

GRODNO OBLAST, 24 May (BelTA) – We need maximum return on investment in the upgrade of commercial dairy farms, Belarus Premier Mikhail Myasnikovich told media during his working trip to Grodno Oblast on 23 May.

The Premier reminded reporters that Grodno Oblast had embarked on a large-scale upgrade project of commercial dairy farms. Mikhail Myasnikovich stressed the need to conduct a preliminary technical study into the works of the kind, as it is not always appropriate to inject huge investment which is sometimes similar to the cost of a new facility. A total of 59 modern dairy farms are under construction in Grodno Oblast this year. Following the instructions of the President of Belarus, the cost of dairy farm construction has been reduced by 30-35%. A basic project of a dairy farm designed for 777 heads with the total area of 7 hectares has been taken as a basis for the region.

Grodno Oblast Governor Semyon Shapiro told reports that every agricultural company has been instructed to upgrade one of its farms using their own resources.

Similar approaches are applied in the social area. This year an estimated Br110 billion has been allocated from the oblast budget to implement in-house projects in the healthcare and education sectors.
