Belarus, China to discuss inter-parliamentary cooperation prospects

MINSK, 21 May (BelTA) – The prospects of Belarus-China inter-parliamentary cooperation will be discussed in a meeting of Chairman of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of Belarus Anatoly Rubinov and Chairman of the House of Representatives Vladimir Andreichenko with a parliamentary delegation of the People’s Republic of China in Minsk on 21 May, BelTA learnt from the press service of the Council of the Republic.

The Chinese delegation will be led by Vice Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress Lu Yongxiang.

The sides are expected to discuss the state and development prospects of inter-parliamentary cooperation and interstate relations as well as other issues of mutual interest. An agreement will be signed between the governments of Belarus and China to set up a Belarusian-Chinese inter-parliamentary commission for high-tech cooperation.

The Chinese parliamentary delegation arrived in Belarus on 20 May.
