Presentation of EEC, SES held in the Netherlands

MINSK, 28 November (BelTA) – The opportunities offered by the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC), the Single Economic Space and the Customs Union of Belarus, Russia and Kazakhstan were presented for the Dutch business community in the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Hague upon the initiative of the embassies of Belarus, Russia and Kazakhstan, BelTA learnt from the press service of the Foreign Ministry of Belarus.

The Dutch businessmen were informed about the history, structure, functions and responsibilities of the Eurasian Economic Commission, the Single Economic Space and the Customs Union.

Taking part in the event were Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to the Netherlands Yelena Gritsenko, the chiefs of the diplomatic missions of Russia and Kazakhstan to the Kingdom of the Netherlands, Minister for Integration and Macro-economy of the Eurasian Economic Commission Tatiana Valovaya, Director of the Technical Regulation and Accreditation Directorate of the Eurasian Economic Commission Vasily Boitsov.

Tatiana Valovaya noted that the Netherlands is a key trading and investment partner of Belarus, Russia and Kazakhstan. She voiced the readiness of the EEC to expand cooperation with the Dutch business community.

Taking part in the event were about 70 representatives of the Dutch government agencies, business associations and companies. The delegation of the Eurasian Economic Commission and the ambassadors of Belarus, Russia and Kazakhstan met with top officials of the Foreign Ministry and Economy Ministry of the Netherlands to discuss cooperation projects.
