Kazakhstan ready to invest in Belarus

MINSK, 9 November (BelTA) – Kazakhstan is ready to invest in the Belarusian economy, Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Serik Akhmetov said at the Belarusian-Kazakhstani Business Forum on 9 November.

“Kazakhstan is ready to invest in the economy of Belarus. Businessmen are ready to work with Belarusian partners, ready to set up joint companies in Belarus and Kazakhstan,” the PM said. In his words, the sides has outlined new joint projects in petrochemistry, agriculture and agricultural engineering.

Business circles that would like to extend to the Kazakhstani market will receive all-round support from the state, take advantage of the conditions available at the free economic zones of Kazakhstan, leasing schemes and so on.

Kazakhstan is eager to cooperate with Belarus, first of all, in the agroindustrial complex, Serik Akhmetov stressed. Kazakhstan views partnership in engineering as a priority as well. Serik Akhmetov noted that Kazakhstan shows great interest in the Belarusian BelAZ products. The Belarusian dump trucks are in great demand in the ore mining industry of Kazakhstan.

The two countries have big prospects in transport and logistics. The Single Economic Space makes this area even more attractive.
