Lukashenko urges Belarus, Russia to use SES advantages in full

MINSK, 29 October (BelTA) - Belarus and Russia should make maximum use of the advantages of the Single Economic Space, President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko said as he met with Governor of Krasnoyarsk Krai Lev Kuznetsov.

“Recently, the relations between our two fraternal states have been satisfactory. I would like to praise the high positive dynamics in the relations,” said the head of state.

According to the President, the Customs Union and the Single Economic Space have opened up new opportunities for boosting the economies, domestic and foreign trade, industrial cooperation, and improving the well-being of the people.

Alexander Lukashenko noted: “Belarusians and Russians have big hopes for the integration. There is no time for idleness when there is this tough competition everywhere, especially taking into account Russia’s accession to the WTO. We need to make maximum use of this advantage to remove all the existing barriers, first of all, in trade.”

Alexander Lukashenko stressed that mutually beneficial cooperation becomes stronger with new ties with the regions of brotherly Russia: “Krasnoyarsk Krai for us is a promising reliable partner, and not only in trade.”
