Minsk to host Day of German Economy 10 October

MINSK, 10 October (BelTA) – German companies successfully operating in Belarus will be presented at the 6th Day of German Economy in Minsk on 10 October, BelTA learnt from the German embassy.

The event is organized by the German-Belarusian Economic Club and the German Economy Representation in the Republic of Belarus under the auspices of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Germany to Belarus Wolfram Maas.

The 6th Day of German Economy will highlight small and medium-sized business in Belarus. The role of SMEs is incontestable for the development of a successful, competitive, dynamic, and export-oriented economy. Participants of the event will discuss favorable framework conditions for the development of small and medium business. It can give an extra boost to the implementation of the significant untapped potential of Belarus-Germany economic cooperation.

The event will begin with presentations of German companies that already operate in Belarus. The program of the forum includes debates on the main topic. In particular, close attention will be paid to the state policy to support small and medium businesses in Belarus and Germany, the experience of the operation of small and medium enterprises with a share of German capital in Belarus.

Invited to partake in the forum are businessmen of the two countries, representatives of the Belarus government, the German Union of Chambers of Commerce and Industry, and industry branch unions and organizations.

The German Economy Representation in Belarus in cooperation with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the city of Erfurt arranged a visit for German businessmen to Minsk.
