Belarus views UAE as one of key partners in Middle East

MINSK, 5 October (BelTA) – Belarus views the United Arab Emirates as one of the most promising partners in the Gulf and the Middle East, President of the Republic of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko said as he received the credentials from Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the UAE Mohammed Abdullah Al Ghafli on 5 October, BelTA has learnt.

Alexander Lukashenko pointed to Belarus’ huge interest in expanding comprehensive cooperation with Abu-Dhabi. First of all, this pertains to investments, trade and economy, and implementation of joint projects. Addressing the diplomat, the President thanked the UAE for support and initiatives in the economic field. “I think in the near future we will be able to materialize our words and ideas. We would like to have support in the Gulf,” the head of state said.

Accepting the credentials of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Zimbabwe to Belarus Bonifes Guva Britto Chidyausiku, Alexander Lukashenko called cooperation with this country promising. The President expressed interest in closer contacts with this state. Alexander Lukashenko believes that joint projects in agriculture, industry, mineral prospecting and mining could benefit the both states.
