Belarus, Council of Europe looking into cooperation prospects
MINSK, 4 October (BelTA) – Prospects of expanding cooperation between Belarus and the Council of Europe were discussed at the meeting of Belarusian Foreign Minister Vladimir Makei and Secretary General of the Council of Europe Thorbjorn Jagland as part of the UN General Assembly session in New York. The information was released by Andrei Savinykh, Head of the Information Office, Press Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Belarus, on 4 October, BelTA has learned.
Andrei Savinykh remarked that the meeting touched upon current interaction between Belarus and the Council of Europe. Apart from that, prospects of expanding cooperation and joint work of Belarus and the Council of Europe were discussed, including work within the framework of various thematic conventions.
