MTZ takes part in China-Eurasia Expo

MINSK, 6 September (BelTA) – Minsk Tractor Works (MTZ) takes part in the second China-Eurasia Expo in the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region of China. Belarus’ exhibits are presented in four booths, BelTA learnt from the Embassy of Belarus in Beijing.

MTZ presented several models of vehicles that aroused profound interest in Chinese and foreign visitors to the expo.

Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to China Viktor Burya took part in the opening ceremony of the second China-Eurasia Expo and the forum on China-Eurasia economic development and cooperation. The forum was opened by Premier of the State Council of the People’s Republic of China Wen Jiabao. Speaking at the ceremony were President of Kyrgyzstan Almazbek Atambayev, President of the Maldives Mohammed Waheed, the Prime Ministers of the Kingdom of Cambodia, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Republic of Tajikistan, the Vice President of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Turkey, former Prime Minister of the UK Tony Blair and others.

Viktor Burya visited a factory assembling Belarus tractors that opened in May 2012. MTZ and Yili Yongcheng Argiculture Equipment Make Group Co., Ltd. (owner of the assembly factory) signed a contract to supply 323 tractor sets to the assembly factory.
