Visegrad Group, EaP security cooperation discussed in Warsaw

MINSK, 25 April (BelTA) – Development of cooperation in security and justice were discussed at the meeting of the directors of the European departments of the foreign political agencies of the Visegrad Group and the Eastern Partnership in Warsaw on 24 April, BelTA learnt from the press service of the Belarusian Foreign Ministry.

Belarus was presented at the meeting by Head of the Department for All-European Cooperation of the Foreign Ministry Roman Romanovsky.

The parties discussed the ways to establish cooperation between the member states of the Visegrad Group and the Eastern Partnership in the areas such as illegal migration, drugs and human trafficking, organized crime, cybercrimes, corruption. The participants of the event emphasized the importance of strengthening mutual trust, cooperation and an exchange of experience in the aforesaid areas.

Roman Romanovsky briefed the participants of the meeting on Belarus’ cooperation formats with European countries in the abovementioned areas and presented Belarus’ position regarding promising cooperation areas between the member states of the Visegrad Group and the Eastern Partnership.
