Basic areas of customs and tariff regulation of Customs Union considered in Moscow

MINSK, 19 August (BelTA) – A project of the basic areas of customs and tariff regulation of the Customs Union for 2013 and for the period of 2014-2015 was considered at the meeting of the subcommittee on customs tariff and non-tariff regulation and safeguard measures of the Eurasian Economic Commission Advisory Committee on Trade in Moscow on 16 August, BelTA learnt from the Foreign Ministry of Belarus.

The Belarusian delegation was led by member of the Advisory Committee on Trade Deputy Foreign Minister of Belarus Alexander Guryanov.

The participants of the meeting considered initiative proposals on customs and tariff regulation, the results of anti-dumping and safeguard investigations pertaining to certain types of goods.

The parties also discussed the distribution of additional import quotas for agricultural goods in the Customs Union in 2013 as well as the temporary ban on the export of raw cattlehide in the Republic of Belarus.
