Brest businessmen to partake in Farmer Expo in Hungary

BREST, 7 August (BelTA) - Brest entrepreneurs plan to partake in the international agricultural and food exhibition Farmer-Expo in Debrecen, Hungary on 16-20 August, BelTA learnt from deputy head of the department on foreign economic cooperation of the Brest Office of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) Vasily Zamula.

The program of the visit envisages a meeting of the Brest delegation with businessmen of Hungary, Ukraine and Romania. The meeting is organized on Belarus’ initiative in cooperation with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Hajdu Bihar Oblast. According to Vasily Zamula, the meeting will benefit to the Belarusian business from the perspective of new partners and contacts in foreign economic activity.

The Brest delegation will comprise 12 people. Almost all of them are representatives of private small and medium-sized enterprises: Viktor Company (heating and ventilation systems), Brestnasosprom (supplementary feeds production), Brestselmash.

The exhibition in Debrecen will be held for the 22nd time. It gradually developed from a regional event into one of the leading expos in Eastern Europe. This time partaking in the expo will be producers from Austria, Germany, Slovakia, Romania and other countries. the exhibition traditionally features a wide range of agricultural vehicles and equipment for agricultural products processing and food manufacturing, chemical products, plant protecting agents, new technologies in cattle breeding and crop husbandry, biotechnologies, beverages and wines, foodstuffs.

This year the BCCI Office in Brest has organized 12 business trips abroad: Germany, the United States, Great Britain, Poland, Ukraine, Italy.
