Vice Premier Prokopovich appointed representative of the State in BPS-Bank

MINSK, 12 February (BelTA) - Deputy Prime Minister Piotr Prokopovich has been appointed representative of the State in BPS-Bank. This is envisaged in Resolution No.85 of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus as of 6 February 2013 officially published on the national legal Internet portal on 12 February, BelTA has learnt.

The Bank was founded in 1923. Sberbank of Russia owns a 97.91% stake in BPS-Bank. Chairman of the Supervisory Board of BPS-Bank is Chairman of the Board of the Development Bank of Belarus Sergei Rumas.

The representative of the State in Belagroprombank is Minister of Agriculture and Food Leonid Zayats, in accordance with Resolution No. 85.

Belagroprombank was registered in 1991. The state share in Belagroprombank is 99%. Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Belagroprombank is General Director of Belarusian Potash Company Valery Ivanov.

Resolution No. 85 has been adopted in accordance with Decree No. 100 “Regarding some issues of possessory supervision” as of 19 February 2008.
