Ilham Aliyev confident about bright future of Belarus-Azerbaijan relations

MINSK, 6 February (BelTA) – President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has met with Chairman of the Federation of Trade Unions of Belarus Leonid Kozik in Baku on 6 February. The Azerbaijani President expressed confidence that the bilateral cooperation will be expanded further, BelTA learnt from the press service of the Federation of Trade Unions of Belarus.

The Azerbaijani head of state underlined that cooperation does not only imply the bilateral trade, but also relations between ordinary people. This can be achieved by exchanging cultural, academic and sports delegations, closer contacts between the Confederation of Trade Unions of Azerbaijan and the Federation of Trade Unions of Belarus.

Ilham Aliyev reminded that the development of the bilateral ties is high on the agenda of the two governments. The heads of state exchanged visits two times.

Leonid Kozik gave Ilham Aliyev best regards from the Belarusian people and the government. He noted that Belarusians value friendly ties with the people of Azerbaijan.
