Belarus, Hungary seek closer economic, investment ties

MINSK, 29 January (BelTA) – A meeting between Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Hungary Alexander Khainovsky and Director of the Department for Foreign Affairs of the President’s Office of Hungary Laszlo Szoke took place on 28 January on Belarus’ initiative, BelTA learnt from the Foreign Ministry of Belarus.

The parties discussed bilateral cooperation, development of the Belarus-EU dialogue, cooperation prospects within multilateral organizations, including on the back of Hungary’s chairmanship in the Central-European Initiative in 2013 and in the Visegrad Group in H2 2013.

The sides stressed mutual interest in further development of bilateral relations with an accent on intensification of economic and investment ties, contacts in culture and tourism.
