First Belarusian AFMs assembled in Vietnam

MINSK, 24 January (BelTA) - First atomic force microscope (AFM) based on the Belarusian technology have been produced in Vietnam, Sergei Chizhik, Deputy Chairman of the Presidium of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, told reporters.

A joint facility to produce atomic force microscopes was set up in Vietnam. These microscopes allow scientists to get a look into the nano-world. Without them it is impossible to develop nanotechnology today.

Kazakhstan also shows interest in starting a joint production of atomic force microscopes, Sergei Chizhik informed. Belarus also hopes to establish similar cooperation with other countries, particularly with South-East Asia states. “We have occupied a niche in the market for atomic force microscopy, which enables us to export products and technology to other countries,” said Sergei Chizhik.
