Chinese grant for construction of student dormitory in Belarus

MINSK, 29 July (BelTA) – China will allocate RMB150 million for a construction of a student dormitory in Belarus. It is envisaged in the intergovernmental agreement on technical and economic cooperation, officially published on the national legal Internet portal on 29 July, BelTA has learnt.

The agreement was signed in Beijing on 16 July with an aim for further development of friendly relations and technical and economic cooperation between Belarus and China.

According to the document, the Government of the People’s Republic of China will provide Belarus with a RMB150 million grant (over $24.463 million) for the implementation of a project concerning the construction of a student dormitory in Belarus.

Maintenance of accounts related to the grant under the agreement will be coordinated by the authorized body of the Belarusian government and the China Development Bank.
