Belarus’ Parliament hopes to continue fruitful cooperation with OSCE PA

MINSK, 9 July (BelTA) - The Parliament of Belarus looks forward to continued fruitful cooperation with the OSCE PA after Montenegrin Speaker of Parliament Ranko Krivokapic was elected OSCE PA President, Vice Speaker of the House of Representatives, the head of the parliamentary delegation of the National Assembly of Belarus at the 22nd annual session of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly in Istanbul Viktor Guminsky told reporters.

"We look forward to fruitful cooperation with Montenegro. We have always had good relationship and mutual understanding with the leadership of the Parliamentary Assembly,” Viktor Guminsky said.

The Belarusian delegation took an active part in the work of the 22nd session of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly, introduced 42 amendments to various resolutions, of which 43% was adopted. “This is big. This is the result of the great work of our delegation. Its active position was lauded by the OSCE PA leadership,” said Viktor Guminsky.

In addition, members of the Belarusian delegation held a series of bilateral meetings. The Vice Speaker of the House of Representatives stressed that by participating in the 22nd session of the OSCE PA the delegation has strengthened the already existing relations.

When speaking about parliamentary cooperation, Viktor Guminsky also expressed the belief that the relations will evolve: “It is important that parliaments should bolster ties in terms of trade and economic relations, so that we can work together for the development of export.”
