Belarus’ chamber orchestra on provincial tour

MINSK, 18 June (BelTA) – The State Chamber Orchestra of the Republic of Belarus will spend up to two years on its project, The Music Gardens of Belarus, BelTA learnt from art director and chief conductor of the State Chamber Orchestra of the Republic of Belarus Yevgeny Bushkov.

The Music Gardens of Belarus is a series of concerts around the Belarusian towns. The major goal of the project is to make classical music closer to rural dwellers. The program opened in March 2013. The orchestra gave seven concerts in Gomel, Mogilev and Vitebsk Oblasts.

According to Yevgeny Bushkov, the audience offers a warm welcome to chamber programs, which testifies to the need for such concerts. “Our goal is to develop interest in classical music,” Yevgeny Bushkov said.

The Music Gardens of Belarus concerts mark the 45th anniversary of the Chamber Orchestra of Belarus. The project envisages 45 concerts.
