Belarus, Cuba confirm high level of trust and cooperation in international arena

MINSK, 10 June (BelTA) - A Belarusian delegation headed by Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Guryanov traveled to Cuba on a working visit, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Foreign Ministry.

During the visit, Alexander Guryanov and Cuban Deputy Foreign Minister Rogelio Sierra Diaz held another round of consultations, and confirmed the high level of trust and constructive cooperation between the two countries in the international arena, and coordinated approaches and positions on the most pressing foreign policy issues,” the Foreign Ministry said.

In addition, the head of the Belarusian delegation was received by First Deputy Foreign Minister of Cuba Marcelino Medina Gonzalez. The parties thoroughly analyzed all the key aspects of bilateral cooperation, noted the importance of maintaining and development of the Belarusian-Cuban political dialogue.

The Belarusian delegation also included Deputy Minister of Architecture and Construction Dmitry Semenkevich, head of the foreign economic relations at the Industry Ministry Anatoly Pavlovich, representatives of such companies as MAZ, Belagromash, Belshina and Beltire.

The delegation held talks with the senior officials of the Cuban ministries of foreign trade and foreign investment, industry, agriculture, transport and construction. The representatives of the Belarusian enterprises held meetings with Cuban counterparts and discussed concrete measures to enhance bilateral trade and economic cooperation.
