Belarus-UAE intergovernmental committee to meet in April

MINSK, 28 March (BelTA) – A meeting of the Belarus-UAE intergovernmental joint committee will be held in late April. The participants of the meeting will consider projects and proposals made following the meetings of the President of Belarus with the UAE authorities, Deputy Foreign Minister of Belarus Valentin Rybakov told media on 28 March.

The committee is chaired by Foreign Minister Vladimir Makei on Belarus’ behalf and State Minister for Foreign Affairs Anwar Gargash on the UAE’s side. Valentin Rybakov stressed that a high level of co-chairmanship shows serious intentions of the two countries to strengthen economic, investment and technical cooperation.

“We are convinced that the meeting of the committee will become a direct result of the visit of the President of Belarus to the United Arab Emirates, will give a new additional impetus to further development and strengthening of all-round cooperation between the Republic of Belarus and the UAE,” the official said.
