Minsk to host Belarus-Belgium business matchmaking session 19 March

MINSK, 18 March (BelTA) – A business matchmaking session between Belarusian and Belgian companies will take place in Minsk on 19 March, BelTA learnt from the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

Partaking in the meeting on Belgium’s behalf will be representatives of Barco Company that is interested in developing cooperation with Belarusian companies and agencies which apply the latest information mapping systems. Belven firm that specializes in the production of shutoff valves for the companies of petrochemical, chemical, pulp and paper, pharmaceuticals industries, water services as well as organizations operating in the field of developing and installing heating and air conditioning systems, offers partners from Belarus to establish mutually beneficial business contacts.

Carabus trading house also shows keen interest in cooperation with Belarusian businessmen. Carabus has an 18-year experience on the market of wholesale supplies of chocolate, confectionery and beer from Belgium, the UK, Spain, Germany and other European states. The main goal of the visit of representatives of this company is to seek for new interesting brands and secure optimal conditions for their advancement.

"Carabus would like to establish partnerships with Belarusian major retail chains and distributors. They are interested in purchasing goods made in Belarus and distributing them in the Russian market," the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry said.

Agroflor Service - Van Hulle B&C is looking for partners to work in landscaping, cultivation of ornamental plants. Firm FAM is ready to cooperate with Belarusian fruits and vegetables processors, producers of cheese, baby food, French fries, suppliers of semi-finished and finished products for restaurants, producers of salads and salad mixes, and companies working in restaurant and hotel business.

A meeting of representatives of Belarus and Belgium communities will help enhance trade and economic cooperation between the two countries, establish new business contacts and discuss joint projects, according to the BCCI.

The business matchmaking session has been organized by the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Chamber, with the assistance of the Flemish trade and economic mission at the Belgium Embassy in Moscow.
