Belarus welcomes Russia’s decision to waive duties on oil exports

MINSK, 31 May (BelTA) - Belarus welcomes Russia’s decision to waive duties on oil exports, Belarusian Prime Minister Mikhail Myasnikovich told a press conference, BelTA learned.

The Prime Minister said that Russia is ready to waive duties on trade in the oil block, even though it will affect the Russian budget revenues. "Yet they will gain in something else," he added.

According to Mikhail Myasnikovich, the approach to these issues should be well-thought out. “If we are to enhance cooperation, create transnational corporations, we need to develop the common market and skillfully formulate trade and investment policies,” he said.
