Lukashenko sends name day greetings to Patriarch Kirill

MINSK, 24 May (BelTA) – President of the Republic of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko has sent the greetings to Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia Kirill on the occasion of his name day, Sts. Cyril and Methodius' Day, BelTA learned from the presidential press service.

“Your activity is focused on serving the Evangelic ideals. You seek to educate people in the tradition of piety and virtue, humanity and kindness,” the message of greetings reads.

“In the year of the 1025th anniversary of the Baptism of Kievan Rus, your efforts to consolidate the friendship and fraternal unity of the Slavic peoples become especially important,” the President stressed.

Alexander Lukashenko wished Patriarch Kirill good health, peace, emotional strength and God's help in all undertakings.
