Belarus suggests intensifying contacts with Ghana

MINSK, 21 May (BelTA) – Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Nigeria and Ghana on concurrent Vyacheslav Beskosty met with Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration of Ghana Kwesi Quartey to discuss ways to ramp up cooperation between government agencies and businessmen of Belarus and Ghana and to expand the legal framework of the bilateral relations. The meeting was held in Accra (Ghana) on 20 May, BelTA learnt from the press service of the Belarusian Foreign Ministry.

The Belarusian diplomat said Belarus is willing to build mutually beneficial cooperation with Ghana in all the areas.

“Kwesi Quartey said Ghana is interested in Belarusian industrial and agricultural technologies, mechanical engineering products and sharing best practices in public utilities management,” the press service informed.

Vyacheslav Beskosty handed over copies of credentials to the Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration of Ghana.

The same day the Belarusian diplomat met with Greater Accra Regional Minister Julius Debrah to discuss cooperation prospects between the capital regions of Belarus and Ghana. The ambassador informed the minister about industrial and export potential of Belarus and Minsk.

Julius Debrah said he would like Belarusian companies to implement joint projects in the Accra area in agriculture, transport infrastructure, power engineering, water and waste treatment.
