No reset for Belarusian radio frequencies conversion fund

MINSK, 20 May (BelTA) – Revenues of the central state budget, which are earned via annual fees and one-time fees for using radio frequencies and for allocating radio frequencies, will roll over to the next financial year if they are not used in the current financial year. The rollover funds will be used to finance radio frequency conversion measures, development and modernization of the systems used to monitor radio frequencies. The new regulations are laid down by Belarus president decree No. 216 of 8 May 2013, BelTA has learned.

Annual fees and one-time fees for using radio frequencies and fees for allocating radio frequencies will be transferred as revenues of the central state budget and will be used exclusively to finance radio frequency conversion measures, development and modernization of the systems used to monitor radio frequencies.

The document is applicable to relations that emerged as from 1 January 2013.

The radio frequencies conversion fund is accumulated every year. However, in the past the radio frequency conversion money did not roll over to the next year because the money was part of the state budget. Now the money can roll over to the next year to finance measures to be taken in the consequent years. It will allow planning and carrying out purchases that were difficult to carry out within one year.
