Belarusian Military Academy marks 60th anniversary

MINSK, 3 May (BelTA) – President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko has sent greetings to veterans, professors, pedagogues and students of the Military Academy of the Republic of Belarus which celebrates the 60th anniversary, BelTA learned from the press service of the head of state.

“Over the years more than 30,000 officers for the Armed Forces of Belarus and over 4,000 military specialists for the armies of 38 foreign countries have graduates from the academy. The quality and efficiency of officers’ training in the Military Academy are praised far beyond Belarus. The fact that military agencies of CIS and non-CIS countries choose our academy as a place for training specialists for their Armed Forces is a testimony to that,” the message of greetings reads.

“Of course, qualified personnel, patriots, excellent specialists are the main wealth of the academy. I am convinced that having solid intellectual potential and rich traditions the Military Academy will make a big input in the development of the Belarusian military school and the enhancement of the national security of the state,” the President said.
